The production of Your Past Is Your Future began at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Director and composer Ferenc Gyuricza committed to creating a unique science fiction film that would push technical and artistic boundaries.
Over five years in the making, the film features groundbreaking visual technology, thanks to an exceptional collaboration with Spanish company Magnific AI. Together, they developed a revolutionary new rendering technique—never before used in film—which allowed for an unprecedented level of realism.
Realistic Characters Over Stylized Tropes
The film challenges a common trend in animation: overly stylized characters that avoid the uncanny valley but lack emotional connection. Instead, the creators opted for highly realistic characters—an ambitious choice that required extraordinary precision and creative effort to maintain full believability.
Story Summary
Jack Anderton is serving his sentence in a prison factory when a general unexpectedly visits him. From that moment, his life changes radically. Thrust into a whirlwind of events, Jack holds the future of the world in his hands.
To save the planet from extinction, he must use all his knowledge. After spectacular robot battles and space wars, he may finally discover the truth about his origins.
